Arbitrum's DAO is voting on a request for another 100 million ARB to grow Paxos' USDG stablecoin on the chain. The Arbitrum USDG vote opened on Snapshot on October 15 and closes at 20:05 UTC on October 22. CoinGecko puts ARB near $0.1811. At that price the 100 million ARB would be worth roughly $18.1 million. That figure is our arithmetic, not the proposal's.
What the Arbitrum USDG vote asks for
The proposal comes from Entropy Advisors, built with Offchain Labs, the Arbitrum Foundation and OpCo. It lists four requests. The first adds 100 million ARB to the DRIP incentive program, lifting its budget from about 65 million unspent ARB to about 165 million.
The second lets the DAO's treasury arm, the ATMC, use assets to seed USDG liquidity and co-incentive deals. The third routes Arbitrum Expansion Program fees, minus the 20% share for the Arbitrum Developer Guild, into the treasury portfolio and converts them to USDG. The fourth makes USDG a special project for Entropy under its current mandate, with no extra pay requested.

Why 100 million ARB looks different now
DRIP was approved with 80 million ARB across four seasons. The proposal says that budget was worth about $40 million when it passed. Divide the two and you get an ARB price near $0.50 at the time, against about $0.18 now.
The authors argue USDG is worth the spend because the Global Dollar Network pays rewards in dollars. They put USDG supply near $3.2 billion today and Arbitrum's own stablecoin base at over $4 billion. The proposal also says some key parameters are not published.
It points to a past spend as a model. In late 2024 the DAO approved 250 million ARB for the Foundation's partnerships budget. The proposal says that helped the DAO collect $6.19 million in protocol revenue in the first half of 2026. The ATMC, for its part, holds about $66 million in tokenized money market funds and stablecoins.
Where the Arbitrum USDG vote stands
The tally is lopsided. On Snapshot the vote shows about 23.8 million ARB for, 240,600 against and 732 abstaining, from 534 voters. That makes it 99% in favour, although a few large wallets can move numbers like that.

The objection raised on the forum
A delegate posting as cp0x wrote on October 18 that their team voted against. Their first reason is that the key economics are not disclosed. Delegates vote without the terms of Arbitrum's agreement with the Global Dollar Network. They also say supply growth would be driven by incentives paid in ARB, whose dollar value falls when ARB does.
The Arbitrum Foundation posted on October 7 that it supports the proposal. It called the dollar-paid rewards a new revenue line for the DAO. The proposal itself expects an onchain vote after Snapshot, which it estimates for November 12.
