The Binance collateral ratio for five assets rose to 60% from 50% on October 9, 2026. It applies to BCH, ENA, ONDO and two tokenized stocks, CRCLB and MSTRB, according to a Binance announcement that took effect at 06:00 UTC. WCT was cut to 10% from 30%, and MASK went up to 30% from 10%.

Binance announcement table of collateral ratio changes for BCH CRCLB ENA MSTRB ONDO WCT and MASK effective October 9 2026

The ratio table from Binance's collateral announcement, with before and after values for seven assets.

Which Binance collateral ratio changes took effect

The ratios cover Portfolio Margin and Cross Margin. Binance says the Cross Margin part only changes how much a user can borrow or transfer out. Under Portfolio Margin the ratio and leverage feed into the unified maintenance margin ratio. Binance warns users to watch that number closely to avoid liquidation.

Five assets moved up by ten points each. WCT is the one cut, by two thirds. MASK rose by twenty points, the largest increase on the list. The notice was published October 6, so holders had three days of warning.

Portfolio Margin Pro tiers behind the Binance collateral ratio

A second table covers tiered collateral for Portfolio Margin Pro, where credit shrinks as a position grows. ZEC climbs from seventh place to sixth in that ranking. Its first $800,000 keeps full credit. What changes is the 75% band, which used to end at $2 million and now runs to $4 million.

CRCLB and MSTRB, the tokenized Circle and Strategy shares, are the biggest winners. They rise from eighth place to seventh and inherit ZEC's schedule. Under the old table only the first $200,000 counted in full, and everything above $1 million earned just 20%. Under the new one the full-credit band reaches $800,000 and the lowest tier is 50%.

Two groups trade places. One group holds ALICE, LQTY, BANANA, XAI, YGG, ACE, PORTAL and G. It drops from rank 9 to rank 10 with tighter bands, and full credit now stops at $50,000 instead of $100,000. THETA rises from rank 10 to rank 9 and takes the older, looser schedule, so its 100% band doubles to $100,000.

Prices around the Binance collateral ratio change

Market moves did not obviously drive this. On Binance spot, ENA traded near $0.217 on October 9, up 4.9% on the day and down 6.7% over a week. ONDO sat near $0.489, and BCH near $278 after a 10.7% weekly drop. ZEC changed hands near $1,226 after falling more than 25% since late September.

bStocks are tokenized securities issued by BTech Holdings Limited, a Binance group affiliate, under an Approved Prospectus in the ADGM, according to Binance's bStocks dividend notice. The same notice says they represent an interest in underlying securities and not direct ownership of the shares.

CRCL closed at $80.84 and MSTR at $151.47 on October 8 per Yahoo Finance. A higher ratio lets holders of these assets borrow more against them. The announcement gives no reasons for any of the changes, so none are offered here. Next to watch is how Binance sets the Binance collateral ratio on its next review. It is an exchange notice summary and not trading advice.
