Bitcoin ETF outflows reached $277.2 million net on October 7, 2026, according to Farside's table. That is the biggest daily outflow among the 13 sessions it lists since September 21. One caveat sits in the data. BlackRock's IBIT cell showed a dash when checked early on October 8, so the total covers every fund except the largest.

Bitcoin ETF outflows came from Fidelity, ARK and Grayscale

Fidelity's FBTC gave up $105.1 million and ARK's ARKB $101.7 million. Grayscale's GBTC lost $39.3 million, Bitwise's BITB $27.6 million and VanEck's HODL $3.5 million. Those five add up to the full $277.2 million. Every other fund on the page printed zero.

October 6 looked different. IBIT took in $122.0 million then, and the day's total was a $118.8 million inflow. Across October 1 to 7 the reported flows net to about $44.4 million in, even with Wednesday's outflow and the missing IBIT figure. Zoom out to all 13 listed sessions and the funds still sum to roughly $2.38 billion of inflows. Ten of those days were inflows and three were outflows.

The Fed's minutes came out at 2 pm Eastern

Out at 18:00 UTC on October 7 came the minutes of the Fed's September 15-16 gathering. Support for lifting the range a quarter point, to 3.75%-4%, was universal among members. Twelve people voted and nobody dissented. The Board also set the rate paid on reserve balances at 3.90%, effective September 17. Most officials judged that another increase would likely be appropriate by year end, with the usual caution that each meeting stays open.

Almost all officials saw inflation risks tilted up and labor market risks broadly balanced. Oil prices and the AI buildout come up repeatedly as cost pressures. The Desk's market review in the same document says Treasury yields rose about 35 basis points across the 2-year to 10-year range between meetings.

Bitcoin had already slid before the minutes

Binance's hourly data shows BTCUSDT opening October 7 at $85,550 and closing the UTC day at $83,322, a drop of 2.6%. Most of that came in the 01:00 and 02:00 UTC hours, long before the Fed text. The 18:00 hour opened at $83,159 and closed at $83,422, so the minutes did not move the price.

ETF funds report one number per day, and the minutes arrived two hours before the US close. A day of Bitcoin ETF outflows can therefore reflect the morning slide, the afternoon text or neither. Farside's table cannot separate them.

The day's low was $82,787 in the 13:00 UTC hour. BTC traded near $82,860 at 03:47 UTC on October 8, according to Binance.

On the ether side, a single fund fared worse a day earlier, as the post on BlackRock's ETHA outflow of $201.9 million shows. The missing IBIT figure leaves the bitcoin total open to revision.

Flow figures are Farside's as of the morning of October 8 and can change when IBIT reports. Prices are Binance spot at the times given. This is market reporting and not a recommendation to buy or sell bitcoin or any fund.
