BNB Standard has a permanent chief executive and a plan to run its own validator. The Nasdaq-listed company says it holds the world's largest corporate BNB treasury. On October 19 its board appointed Alex Odagiu as CEO. The same day it announced the BNB Standard validator plan for BNB Chain, to be run with an outside infrastructure partner.
A new CEO for BNB Standard
Odagiu, 35 according to the company's 8-K, has been interim president since June and a director since then. He takes over the principal executive role from Brent Miller, who stays as chief financial officer. Before this he was an investment partner at YZi Labs and resigned from that role as of October 19. His earlier career included investment banking at Goldman Sachs International.
The board acted on a search committee's recommendation, after what it describes as a search with a retained firm. A cooperation agreement from June 23 required the committee to consider candidates suggested by YZi Labs, and Odagiu was among them.
What the employment agreement pays
The filing sets a base salary of $525,000 and a target bonus of 75% of salary. His 2026 bonus is prorated from the start date. He also gets a restricted stock unit grant equal to 2.5% of shares outstanding, to be issued after stockholders approve the 2026 Equity Incentive Plan.
Forty percent of the grant vests over time. Sixty percent depends on performance, measured by the share price in BNB, net BNB per share and an income coverage ratio. Previously the company accrued $70,968 to an entity he owns for consulting work as interim president, and that agreement ended on October 19.

How the validator would work
Under the BNB Standard validator plan, the company will choose a specialist provider through a competitive process. That provider would run the technical side of the validator, under the company's governance. The treasury BNB stays with qualified custodians during staking. Rewards are not guaranteed and vary with network activity and validator performance.
Reporting will go through the treasury dashboard once the BNB Standard validator is live on mainnet. No launch date is given in the release. Odagiu's stated priorities are to grow BNB per share and build an operating business on BNB Chain.
Where the BNB Standard treasury stands
The company's website shows 515,544 BNB held as of July 31, the date of its latest quarterly report. At $727.98 per BNB on October 19, that holding is worth about $375.3 million. BNC shares traded at $4.75 against an adjusted net asset value of $7.09 per diluted share, a multiple of 0.67.
