Polymarket's American exchange now earns far more in fees than the original site. According to DefiLlama, Polymarket US fees came to $84.4 million over the 30 days to October 17. The international platform on Polygon earned $30.4 million over the same stretch. That is a ratio of about 2.8 to 1, by our division.
Polymarket US fees against the older site
Over the last seven days the gap was a little narrower. Polymarket US booked $19.7 million and the global site $8.2 million, so the US side earned about 2.4 times as much. The US exchange's best day in the 30-day window was September 27, at about $4.5 million.
Daily fees on the US exchange mostly sit between $2.2 million and $2.9 million. The global site mostly sits between $0.9 million and $1.4 million, with October 17 higher at $1.44 million.

How the Polymarket US fees lead came about
The shift happened this autumn. Monthly totals in the DefiLlama data show the global site ahead in June, at $41.3 million against $30.3 million. It also led in July, $46.3 million against $42.3 million. August was close, $36.1 million against $34.1 million.
September flipped it. Polymarket US took $62.3 million and the global site $31.3 million. October so far shows $48.7 million against $19.8 million.

The lifetime gap between the two sites
The global platform, which runs on Polygon, is the older of the two by a wide margin. That head start is the only reason it still leads on lifetime fees, and it is shrinking every day.
On lifetime fees the older site still leads, but only just. DefiLlama's daily series add up to $251.3 million for the international platform and $244.5 million for Polymarket US through October 17. The gap is $6.8 million.
Seven days of fees put the US exchange about $11.5 million ahead of the global one. At that rate the lifetime gap shuts inside four days. We offer that as plain arithmetic, not a forecast, because daily fees swing with events.
What the numbers measure
The fee figures are trading fees, not volume or profit. DefiLlama's notes for the international platform say users pay fees when they trade binary options. Maker rebates, taker rebates, referral rewards and liquidity rewards are counted separately as supply-side revenue. We have not netted any of those out.
Growth on the US side has been steep. January brought in $1.1 million and February $1.3 million. By May the monthly figure was $13.2 million, and June reached $30.3 million.
DefiLlama describes Polymarket US as a CFTC-regulated designated contract market. Its first fee day in the data is January 8, 2026. The international platform's series starts in May 2023.
