The Securitize LG CNS memorandum of understanding landed on October 6, 2026, the day SECZ shares rose 8.55% to $12.70. The release went out at 09:00 ET, half an hour before the opening bell. It names three areas of work and no dollar figure, no launch date and no product. Whether the stock was reacting to the deal itself or to a bounce after a long slide is the open question.

What the Securitize LG CNS MOU covers

Securitize's release on PR Newswire says the firms plan to pair Securitize's regulated tokenization infrastructure with LG CNS's technology. LG CNS also brings its contacts across Korean finance. Soft verbs carry the whole text. The companies "intend to explore" tokenization tailored to Korean institutions and "will identify opportunities" for tokenized assets, securities and stablecoins across Korea and wider Asia-Pacific.

The third strand is the vaguest: stablecoin plumbing and treasury tools for digital assets. Down the road, the pair might connect Korean markets to global ones. Those systems would settle tokenized securities around the clock, but only subject to legal and regulatory approvals.

Release text on PR Newswire stamped it, October 6 at 09:00 ET.

Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo called South Korea "an important market for the next phase of institutional tokenization". Securitize says it manages about $5 billion in assets as of September 2026. Its partners include Apollo, BlackRock, BNY, Hamilton Lane, KKR and VanEck. Nothing in the release says any of those managers will bring a fund to Korea.

LG CNS signed five of these, not one

Securitize was not the only name on LG CNS's list that day. LG CNS also launched a blockchain platform called KITL, per the Korea Times. It is built for banks and securities firms that need wallets, transaction processing, fee payment and data collection. That article says LG CNS signed MOUs with five global firms: Circle, Securitize, Canton Foundation, Chainalysis and Chainlink.

KITL grew out of LG CNS's work on the Bank of Korea's Project Hangang, which the paper says involved seven banks and about 80,000 customers. That gives the Korean side a working link to lenders. Securitize gets a local integrator on paper, though the release attaches no timeline to either side's tasks. Circle and Chainlink sit on the same list, so the Securitize LG CNS pairing is not an exclusive slot in the platform.

SECZ rebounds after a near-30% slide

SECZ's price history on Stock Analysis, with the October 6 row at the top of the table.

Even after the jump, the close sits 23.6% under September 28. It is also 63% above the $7.77 close of September 16. Between September 17 and 24, four sessions each moved more than 14%, so an 8.55% day is smaller than any of them. Across the last four weeks SECZ has traded between $7.40 and $17.01.

Prices quoted here are October 6 exchange closes and record one session only. Anyone trading SECZ on an MOU headline carries that risk alone. A named client or fund from either company would be the first sign the Securitize LG CNS tie-up has turned into a product.
