Bitcoin and ether spot ETFs ended the week of October 5 with combined net ETF outflows of $1.22 billion, based on Farside Investors tables. Bitcoin funds gave back $678.9 million over five sessions. Ether funds lost $542.2 million, and all five of their days closed in the red.
Two weeks earlier, from September 22 to 25, those same funds were taking money in. Bitcoin products drew $1.39 billion and ether products drew $419.8 million. The week's ETF outflows undo roughly half of the bitcoin gain and more than all of the ether gain from that early run.

Nine straight red days for ether
Ether's streak is the cleaner story. The table shows net outflows on every session since September 29, nine in a row. They add up to $697.4 million, which is more than the $436.9 million that the five sessions before them brought in.
October 6 was the heaviest day at $201.9 million, followed by $160.9 million the next day. BlackRock's ETHA accounted for $477.1 million of the weekly total, or 88%. Grayscale's ETHE lost $31.9 million, and Fidelity's FETH lost a net $13.4 million after one small inflow on October 8.
Cumulative figures tell a calmer story. Farside's running total for ether funds since launch stands at $13.29 billion, and for bitcoin funds it stands at $57.18 billion. One bad week of ETF outflows leaves both far above zero.
Price moved with it. On Binance, ether closed at $2,726.94 on October 4 and at $2,474.80 on October 8, a drop of 9.2%. It traded near $2,509 on October 11.
Where the bitcoin ETF outflows came from
Bitcoin's week was lumpier, and ETF outflows were concentrated in a few funds rather than spread evenly. Two sessions did the damage. October 7 lost $484.9 million and October 8 lost another $244.1 million, while October 6 and October 9 brought in $118.8 million and $21.1 million.
BlackRock's IBIT is the surprise. It sold off $207.7 million on October 7 but had added money on three other days, so it finished the week up $1.1 million. Fidelity's FBTC lost $380.3 million, including $197.1 million on October 8 alone. ARKB shed $207.2 million over three sessions.

The bitcoin ETF flow table at Farside lists each fund. Add the columns for October 5 to 9 and the total comes to the same $678.9 million.
Bitcoin closed at $86,530 on October 4 and at $81,754 on October 8, a fall of 5.5%. By October 11 it had climbed back to about $83,080.
A caveat on these ETF outflows
Farside warns that its figures can change when issuers revise them, and October 9 is the latest row published at the time of writing. The next row will cover October 12. Those prices come from Binance daily closes, which run to 00:00 UTC.
