StandX Shutdown Plan: Perps Go Reduce-Only On October 20
The StandX shutdown plan: perps go reduce-only October 20, positions close January 15 and withdrawals end January 31. StandX also cancels its token launch.

StandX has given its traders a calendar for leaving. The perpetual futures exchange posted on X at 06:06 UTC on October 15, 2026. It will airdrop its DUSD token and will not launch a governance token, and the StandX shutdown timetable runs to the end of January.

The StandX shutdown dates
The post lays out five dates. Airdrop claims open on November 1 and close on December 31. Perps trading moves to reduce-only on October 20, which means traders can shrink or close positions but cannot open new ones.
Positions close on January 15. Withdrawals and redemptions close on January 31. The post says a full announcement article follows, and X lists its title as "[Important] StandX DUSD Airdrop and Further Operational Arrangements."
Per the preview, StandX plans a one-time DUSD airdrop for its community, claimable in full with no lockup. Only that preview is public, since X keeps the rest of the article out of reach. It does not say why the team chose this path, and this report cannot either.
What DUSD is and why the token matters
DefiLlama describes StandX as a perps exchange live on BNB Chain and Solana, powered by its own yield-bearing DUSD. StandX has now said that no governance token will launch.
That makes the airdrop the only distribution the team has promised. The post gives no token count or eligibility rules, and nothing in the StandX shutdown notice says how much DUSD each user can claim.
How big StandX is on DefiLlama
Numbers from the data tracker show a business well below its early-year level. DefiLlama's StandX page listed total value locked at $19.66 million on October 15. Perp volume over 30 days was $11.045 billion, and open interest stood at $13.98 million.

The chart on that page puts the TVL peak at about $100 million in January. DefiLlama's data series gives a high of $106.6 million on January 17, and the figure has slid through most of the year since. Volume has also faded from its early summer peak.
DefiLlama files StandX under two products, a bridge across BNB Chain and Solana plus the perps venue. These figures come from a tracker rather than from StandX, whose post has no matching numbers, so they show scale and nothing else.
What traders face before October 20
The StandX shutdown has one near deadline, five days away. After October 20, anyone holding a position can only reduce it. Anyone who wants to keep trading will need another venue.
TOCE covered a different closing earlier this week, when Blur set a shutdown date for its frontend. The two cases have little in common beyond the countdown.
Users with open positions or DUSD balances should read the full announcement from the exchange. This article reports the company's own dates and does not give advice on what to do with funds.
