ZKsync's token ran 44% in a week, then hit a wall at $0.0188 this morning. The 04:00 UTC four-hour candle on October 15 printed that high on about 18 times its usual volume, and then buyers backed off. This ZK price analysis looks at what the candles and the levels say.

ZK price analysis: the volume spike in candles

ZK closed the October 8 daily candle at $0.01139. A week later it trades near $0.0164, a gain of about 44%. Two bursts of volume stand out in the four-hour data from Binance.

The first came on October 13 in the 12:00 UTC candle, which rose to $0.01757 and closed at $0.01642 on 474.6 million ZK. That was about 13 times the median four-hour volume of 35.9 million. TradingView's news panel shows a headline from two days earlier, "ZKsync Launches Airbender Prime for Real-Time Ethereum Proofs on a Single GPU." We make no claim that it caused the move.

The second burst was the 04:00 UTC candle on October 15. It opened at $0.01583, ran to $0.01880 and closed at $0.01721 on 642.7 million ZK. The next candle closed at $0.01668, still above the start of the run.

Structure and averages behind the ZK price analysis

On the daily chart, ZK broke structure to the upside on October 9 by clearing $0.01382, the October 2 swing high. Price now sits above the 20-day average at $0.01354, the 50-day at $0.01193 and the 200-day at $0.01449.

Higher timeframes are less friendly. The weekly chart still shows lower highs from $0.04488 in January to $0.02158 in March and $0.02008 in May. The latest high of $0.01880 sits under all of them, so this is a rally inside a larger downtrend.

Gaps and blocks under the high

Both big candles left a mark. The 04:00 UTC move on October 15 printed a high above the October 13 peak of $0.01757, then closed back below it. Traders call that a buy-side sweep, a grab of orders resting above a high. The 08:00 UTC candle did the same.

Support is clearer. A fair value gap, the empty space a fast move leaves, spans $0.01572 to $0.01580, with another at $0.01636 to $0.01653. Lower down a bullish order block from October 10 runs from $0.01320 to $0.01429. A block is the last opposite candle before a strong move.

Two scenarios from here

The constructive case needs a four-hour close above $0.01757. That would clear the October 13 high and put today's $0.01880 back in play. Above that, the next marks are the old weekly highs near $0.02008.

ZK USDT four-hour chart on TradingView with volume at 13:08 UTC on October 15

ZK/USDT four-hour chart on TradingView, captured at 13:08 UTC on October 15. Chart by Daniel Kiprop.

The cautious case starts with a four-hour close under $0.01484, the swing low from October 14. That puts $0.01429, the top of the order block, and then $0.01400 on the table. A close under $0.01320 would erase the October 10 base.

BTC trades above its 100-day average and ZK sits inside its recent range, so we have no lean. Levels use closed Binance candles through 12:00 UTC on October 15. This ZK price analysis describes price history and is not advice to buy or sell.
