21shares has announced staking payouts for five of its crypto ETFs. The September 28 press release covers the Ethereum, Solana, Hyperliquid, Sui and Polkadot funds. Each fund pays shareholders cash that comes from staking rewards earned on the tokens it holds. The ex-dividend and record date was September 29, and payment lands on September 30.

What The Release Lists

The announcement gives five tickers and one per-share figure for each. TETH pays $0.031602, TSOL pays $0.076590, THYP pays $0.191360, TSUI pays $0.052939 and TDOT pays $0.045029. All five share the same September 29 record date and the same September 30 payable date. The release says the distributions consist of staking rewards earned from the staked ETH, SOL, HYPE, SUI and DOT. It does not say which period each figure covers.

Payout Against Share Price

A per-share amount means little without the share price beside it. The fund pages list a net asset value for September 29, so we used that as the base. TSOL's payout equals about 0.66% of its $11.56 NAV, the largest of the group.

THYP comes next at 0.38% of $49.80, then TDOT at 0.31% of $14.31. TETH pays about 0.24% of $13.44 and TSUI about 0.23% of $23.01. These are simple ratios of one announced payout to one NAV, not annualized yields. The NAV is the one printed after the ex-date, so the percentages are approximations.

Bigger Than June, Except Polkadot

The previous batch came in a June 26 release with a June 29 record date. TETH paid $0.009466, TSOL $0.035949, THYP $0.037305, TSUI $0.016531 and TDOT $0.056134.

Against those figures, THYP's new payout is about 5.1 times larger. TETH rose about 3.3 times, TSUI about 3.2 times and TSOL about 2.1 times. TDOT is the exception, with a payout down roughly 20%. The June release does not state its period either, so this compares announced amounts and nothing more.

What The Fund Pages Add

The THYP fund page shows $88.1 million in assets, with 85.47% of them staked as of September 29. It lists a 2.23% rewards rate, which the page defines as the 30-day average annualized rate earned by Hyperliquid validators. That is not the ETF's own rate. The management fee is 0.30%. The TETH page shows $37.9 million in assets and a 0.21% fee, which the sponsor is waiving from October 9, 2025 until October 8, 2026.

Payouts Are Not Guaranteed

The fund pages say rewards are paid in cash at least quarterly. The TETH page adds that rewards vary with network conditions, are not guaranteed and may not be paid every quarter. The release also spells out the risks. It calls Ethereum, Solana, Sui, Polkadot and Hyperliquid relatively new asset classes that are largely unregulated.

Staked tokens can be lost to slashing or inactivity penalties if validators fail. They can be locked in exit queues too, which makes meeting redemptions harder. None of the five funds is registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940, so they lack the protections of registered ETFs and mutual funds.

This article is for information only and is not investment advice. Staking ETFs can lose value, including the full amount invested.
