Bitmine now has most of its ether earning rewards. As of October 18, Bitmine staked ETH came to 5,067,309 coins, which the company values at $12 billion at $2,365 each. That is 84% of the 6,041,481 ETH it holds, according to a press release dated October 19.
Bitmine's 6.04M ETH and other holdings
Bitmine's crypto, cash and other stakes add up to $15.1 billion, the company says. Beyond the ether, the release lists 215 bitcoin and stakes in Beast Industries ($180 million) and Eightco Holdings ($74 million). Cash and marketable securities add $582 million. Prices are taken from Coinbase at 3:00 p.m. Eastern on October 18.

The company puts its ether at 4.9% of the 122.1 million ETH supply. It calls itself 99% of the way to a 5% goal it set when the strategy began on June 30, 2025.
Weekly buying slows to 12,535 ETH
Bitmine added 12,535 ETH over the past week and says it has bought every week since the start of the strategy. Our report on the previous week's purchase put it at 15,112, so this week's figure is about 17% lower, by our arithmetic.
Five percent of 122.1 million ETH is roughly 6.1 million coins. Bitmine would need about 63,500 more to reach that level. At this week's pace that is a little over five weeks, though the company gives no schedule.
What Bitmine staked ETH could earn
Staking is where the release spends most of its detail. The share of Bitmine staked ETH sits at 84% of holdings. Bitmine runs MAVAN, which stands for Made in America VAlidator Network, a platform it built first for its own ether. The company now offers it to institutional clients, custodians and ecosystem partners as well.

Chairman Thomas Lee gives two reward numbers. On the 5.1 million ETH staked today, annual staking revenue works out to $309 million. If every coin Bitmine holds were staked, the company projects $369 million a year, using a 2.58% seven-day BMNR yield.
Those are projections built on the company's own yield, not rewards already paid. The two figures differ by about $60 million a year. That is what the roughly 974,000 unstaked coins would add at the same rate, by our arithmetic.
Lee's view of the market
In the release, Lee blames the recent dip in crypto on investors backing away from risk in the US, Korea and Taiwan. His list of causes runs from AI funding worries to US-Iran tensions, the midterm elections and rising bond yields. These are his views as chairman, printed in the company's own announcement.
The release also notes that Bitmine joined the Russell 1000 index on June 26, 2026. Its Series A preferred stock trades on the NYSE under BMNP. It describes Bitmine as the largest ETH treasury in the world. This article reports a company announcement and does not recommend buying or selling any asset, including BMNR shares.
