OP Price Analysis: 21% Daily Gain Stalls Near $0.1625
OP price analysis: the token gained 21% on October 13, hit 0.1625 on October 14, then pulled back into a four-hour gap. Key levels and two scenarios inside.

On October 13, Optimism's OP token traded more than it had in any of the previous 40 daily sessions. Starting from $0.1309, it climbed to $0.1610 on Binance and settled at $0.1585. That is a gain near 21%, on about $21.6 million of volume, roughly triple the day before. This OP price analysis follows what happened after the close, because the move did not stop there.
OP price analysis: the push and the first pullback
The top came early on October 14. The 00:00 UTC four-hour candle printed $0.1625, the highest price of the run, and then sellers took over. That candle closed at $0.1578, and the next one finished at $0.1521. A third was still open near $0.1498 as this was written, about 8% under the high.
The token had been climbing for a month before this. From a September 16 daily close of $0.0958, the last closed four-hour print of $0.1521 is up roughly 59%. Over those weeks OP also broke above its weekly structure. A bullish break of structure printed on the weekly chart on September 14 at $0.1235.
That weekly break matters because the current week's range, $0.1259 to $0.1625, sits entirely above it. Any OP price analysis that reads only the daily chart would miss this.

OP price analysis: gaps and blocks under the high
A fair value gap is the empty space left between candles when price moves very fast. The October 13 rally left two of them on the four-hour chart. The upper one spans $0.1453 to $0.1523. The lower one sits just beneath, between $0.1400 and $0.1421. Price is now trading inside the upper gap.
Below both gaps sits a bullish order block, the last down candle before the rally, spanning $0.1344 to $0.1400. It formed on the 08:00 UTC candle on October 13. Beneath that, the swing low of $0.1259 from the start of the same day marks where the move began.
One pattern showed up twice earlier. Twice before, on October 10 and October 12, price pushed through the $0.1410 swing high and fell straight back under it. Traders call that a sweep, a quick grab of orders resting above an obvious high. The October 13 close sits well above that level.
Where the averages sit
On the daily chart OP trades above all three major averages. The shorter two sit well below, around thirteen and twelve cents. The 200-day is the highest of the group at $0.1421, which price has only just cleared.
Two scenarios from here
The constructive case needs the upper gap to hold. A four-hour close above $0.1625 would put OP at a fresh high for the run. Nothing earlier stands in the way above that, because price has already passed the September 26 daily swing high at $0.1510.

The cautious case starts with a four-hour close under $0.1400, the top of the order block. That puts the $0.1344 base in play. A close under $0.1259 would erase the whole October 13 move. Every level comes from closed Binance candles through 08:00 UTC on October 14. This OP price analysis describes price history and is not advice to buy or sell.
