Ethereum Validator Queue: 1.28M ETH Waiting In, 906K Waiting Out
The Ethereum validator queue shows 1.28M ETH waiting to stake (22 days) and 906K ETH waiting to exit (16 days) on Oct 17. The exit line jumped 568K in a day.

More than 1.28 million ETH is waiting to become validator stake, and nearly 906,000 ETH is waiting to leave. Both lines are long at the same time. The Ethereum validator queue page draws on beaconcha.in data. Captured on October 17, it showed a 22-day wait to get in and a 16-day wait to get out.
Six weeks ago the picture looked different. The entry line held about 1.97 million ETH on September 8, and the exit line was empty.
How the Ethereum validator queue looked on October 17
Each side moves at the same speed. The network lets 256 ETH per epoch through each door, which works out to 57,600 ETH a day. Divide the entry line by that and you get just over 22 days. Do the same for the exit line and it comes to a bit under 16.
The page lists a sweep delay of 7.2 days on top of the exit wait. That is how long the withdrawal sweep takes to reach a validator that has already exited and pay out its balance. Staked ETH stands at 43.6 million, or 35.73% of supply, spread over 830,675 active validators, with a staking APR of 2.57%.
The exit line appeared almost overnight
The daily history on the chart tells the story. On September 30 the exit queue held about 205,000 ETH. A day later, on October 1, it showed 773,447 ETH, a jump of roughly 568,000 ETH in 24 hours. It stayed above 770,000 from then on.
The peak so far was October 16 at 1,030,696 ETH. By the October 17 daily reading it had eased to 965,887, and the live card a bit later said 905,680. For scale, the exit line peaked at 2,673,349 ETH on September 13, 2025, so today's level is far from a record.

Entry demand in the Ethereum validator queue keeps cooling
The line to get in has been shrinking all the while. It fell from 1,965,493 ETH on September 8 to 1,291,577 ETH on October 17, a drop of about 34%. The all-time chart shows how far it has come down. On February 12 it peaked at 4,112,458 ETH, a wait of 71.4 days.
The same data converts to waiting time. At 57,600 ETH a day, the September 8 entry line was a wait of about 34 days, against about 22 today. The October 16 exit peak worked out to nearly 18 days. Those day counts are our own division of the chart figures by the daily churn.
For anyone staking today, the practical effect is simple. A new deposit sits in line for about three weeks before it earns rewards. For anyone who wants out, the wait is just over two weeks plus the sweep delay.

The Ethereum validator queue can change by the hour, so treat every figure here as a snapshot from October 17. This article describes queue data and is not investment advice on ETH.
